The complete chapter text for this episode, drawn from the film narration, is being added. Below is the chapter structure.
Chapter 1 – Waking Wrong
Kwame sits upright on his bed, drenched in sweat.
He’s back in his campus room — or something that looks like it.
But the air is heavier. Colder. The colors of the room seem muted, like they’ve been drained of life.
His phone is still in his hand, but the screen won’t light up.
Chapter 2 – Ear to the Floor
Then he hears it. The voices. Muffled. Faint. Beneath the floorboards.
At first, it sounds like static. Then like whispers. Then full sentences — not in unison, but overlapping, like layers of trapped souls trying to be heard.
He crouches, places his ear to the wooden floor.
Chapter 3 – The Voices
“They said I had time…”
“I wanted to come back, I swear…”
“It was just one more chance, one more weekend…”
“I ignored Him… now I can’t unhear it…”
Kwame jerks back. “What is this?!”
He paces the room, breathing hard.
Chapter 4 – The Masked Campus
He hears music outside — normal, student life resuming. But something has shifted.
When he looks out the window, everyone is wearing masks — laughing, walking, posting, living.
But their eyes — behind the masks — are blank. Hollow.
Some are bleeding from their ears. Some are screaming silently.
And some… are staring straight at him.
Chapter 5 – Kobby Enters
Suddenly, his roommate, Kobby, enters — cheerful, chatting.
But his words sound like echoes, as if he’s underwater.
Kwame grabs his arm. “Do you hear that?! Under the floor?”
Chapter 6 – The Floor Is Thin Here
Kobby pauses. Blinks. Then smiles unnaturally. “It’s better not to listen, bro. It’s just noise. Everybody hears it at first.”
“At first?” “Yeah. Before we adjust.” “Adjust to what?”
Kobby leans in close. His voice drops to a whisper. “The floor is thin here. That’s why the masks help.”
Kwame stumbles back. His roommate’s smile never fades.
Chapter 7 – 3:33 AM
That night, Kwame can’t sleep. The voices grow louder — crying, shouting, begging.
At 3:33 AM, he rips up a corner of the floor. Beneath it… dirt.
Chapter 8 – Digging
He digs with his hands, frantic.
Eventually, he touches something cold — not stone, not metal. He clears the dirt. It’s a door.
Chapter 9 – The Trapdoor
A trapdoor — no hinges, no handle. Just a symbol engraved on top: a crown. Pierced. Bleeding.
As he stares at it, the voices stop.
Chapter 10 – The Voice
Then a single Voice speaks — deep, still, and solemn: “The truth is not beneath you. It is before you.”
“You cannot silence the voices… until you obey the One who speaks above them.”
Chapter 11 – The Knock
A knock on the door startles him — not the trapdoor, but his actual door.
He opens it. No one is there.
Chapter 12 – The Key and the Note
But on the floor is a key — ancient, rusted, warm to the touch.
Tied to it is a note: “You’re being offered a room. Choose wisely.”
